Welcome friends! I’m country queer culture worker and creative whose career has been dedicated to nurturing stories into impact for twenty years. Described as a “professional hype guy,” I work as an producer (impact, creative, event) alongside other creatives, with an emphasis on documentary films. I’ve been supporting filmmakers at the critically acclaimed PBS series, POV for the past five years.
As a critical reader and writer, my journey began in English classrooms (remember books?!) and has carried me into teaching and facilitation with justice-impacted communities, arts-rooted performances, and documentary film. Always oriented towards structural and historically-informed visions of justice whether I’m engaging collaboratively as an educator, artist, writer, researcher, or producer, the work I support is likewise guided by a meaningful desire for positive transformation.
I have supported hundreds of films, filmmakers, artists, students, and creatives as an Impact Producer & Strategist, researcher, and content creator to help documentaries shape society anywhere between hyper-local or national stages. I’ve curated, programmed, and produced screening series, music and poetry series, and anti-racist professional development series for educators. I’ve written and published academic articles, literary essays, and poetry widely over the years.
I love supporting communities as they engage in crucial, yet difficult, organizing and dialogue to achieve more equitable ways of being; collaborating with other artists in support of projects that desire more liberated or creative futures.
